The **New** menu item can be used to add pictures files and work with macros. {{stlmneu.gif}} **''Add Picture File -''** adds a picture file to the Stock List by way of a standard Windows dialogue box: {{stlm2bilddateien.gif}} File types that can be added in this manner are GIF, BMP or DIB. **''Scan Binary File -''** scans a binary file for pictures that can be added. {{stlm2binärdateien.gif}} Files that contain embedded pictures, which can be added to Traffic, must be of the following types: * Executable Files (*.exe) * Dynamic Link Libraries (*.dll) * Screen Saver Files (*.scr) * Traffic Vehicle Library (*.tvl) **''New Macro -''** creates a new macro. The first picture selected serves as the base picture and its name serves as the default when the macro is created: {{stlm2neuesmakro.gif}} A command line version of the Macro Editor is called by the newly created macro and the name of the base picture appears in the command line.  One uses this command line to add modifications directly to the picture before the new macro file is saved.  Alternatively, one can merely change the name of the base picture and create a new picture resource based on the original picture. **''Create Electric Macro -''** defines a macro for an electric locomotive:  The selected picture should contain the entire locomotive and directly below it should be the _SAR picture (same file name, albeit with an additional **_SAR** suffix). What this function does is to create a new picture where the name of the first picture has " **< Name_of_Second_Picture**" added after it in its command line. The Way code is changed automatically to **E** for the locomotive and **S** for the pantograph. **''New Moving Macro -''** creates a directionally dependent movement macro: A macro is created which can travel in both directions.  The phase pictures comprising the macro must be of identical length or they will be overlaid justified to their centre points because the pictures are only joined inside the macro with the **+** sign. **''New Moving Macro < -''** creates a macro moving left: When the vehicle picture is composed of phase pictures showing only the left side of the vehicle, then this creates a macro with them that only travels "forwards."  If the program generates this vehicle travelling right, the phase pictures are mirrored.  The pictures are joined justified to their left sides inside the macro with the **+<** symbol. At the end of the macro the **+[>R]** is automatically added. **''New Moving Macro > -''** creates a macro moving right: When the vehicle picture is composed of phase pictures showing only the right side of the vehicle, then this creates a macro with them that only travels "forwards."  If the program generates this vehicle travelling left, the phase pictures are mirrored.  The pictures are joined justified to their right sides inside the macro with the **+>** symbol. At the end of the macro the **+[R] -''** creates a macro moving left: The macro is created from source pictures showing the **left** side of the vehicle and creates a macro moving left. If the program generates this vehicle travelling right, the phase pictures are mirrored. The pictures are aligned on their left sides. **''Create MM Compatible Macro > +[ -''** creates a macro moving right: The macro is created from source pictures showing the **right** side of the vehicle and creates a macro moving right. If the program generates this vehicle travelling left, the phase pictures are **not** mirrored. The pictures are aligned on their right sides. (Useful if you have pictures for both sides of a locomotive and therefore do not need to mirror the picture to create a view of the other side) Continue: [[stlmfind|'Find' Menu Item]]
